Don't Forget About Print Marketing

Great article from Brian Morris at Deluxe. Direct Mail is experiencing a major come back and for good reason. Check out these stats:
56 percent of consumers say print is the most trustworthy type of marketing more people read direct mail now than in 1987 (53 percent versus 49 percent) more than 75 percent of customers enjoy receiving special offers in the mail more than 81 percent of social media users enjoy receiving special offers in the mail when direct mail is coupled with other marketing strategies, response rates increase by an average of 20 percent direct-mail is responsible for acquiring more customers than email marketing, search marketing, and affiliate marketing every $167 direct-mail investment earns an average of $2,095 in goods sold direct-mail brings in 78 percent of all donations for non-profit organizations
A well thought out direct mail campaign that targets a specific group of people, has a strong message and call to action can be just the thing you need to generate new business. Social Media has it's place without doubt but given the above statistics, why not give direct mail another try? For one thing, you won't find an email blast in a prominent place on someones coffee table or refrigerator. Just saying.
